However, he was not among the three short-listed candidates.
It’s reported that he was ranked fourth with the three short-listed candidates being Stephen Gichuki, the general manager for projects and engineering services, Francis Mugo, the MD of Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company, and Alfred Serem, the Horticultural Crops Development Authority MD.
Sources indicate that the board is leaning towards Mr Gichuki.
KAA, which controls the country’s airports, is one of the most coveted State corporations.
Currently, it’s engaged in a multi-billion shilling modernisation and expansion programme at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi.
It’s also upgrading other airports such as Kisumu to meet growing demand for air transport.
