Kenya now sees stable inflation rate

The transport and communications category was split in two -- increasing the weighting for both to 12.48 percent from 5.75 per cent previously.
A new category for hotels and restaurants was also introduced.
Kilele said three baskets were used for Nairobi to take into account lower, middle and upper income level clusters.
Seven other baskets were used to measure inflation in the nation’s provinces to take into account regional consumption patterns.
