The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB) has finally lifted the ban they had imposed on medical camps in the country organized by foreign doctors.

KMPDB Chairman, Professor George Magoha last month said medical camps have been used for exploitation and abetting referral of Kenyans to hospitals abroad.

Mr Magoha said all future medical camps shall be regulated by set gazette rules that are now available on the board’s website.

“We wish to notify all doctors, health institutions and members of the public that the health secretary, in consultation with KMPDB has lifted the suspension placed on June 16, by the board on all medical camps organized by foreign doctors,” said Prof Magoha.
