KRA has established a Business Intelligence Unit to identify and deter tax frauds before they occur.

Assistant Justice minister William Cheptumo says the government alone should not be blamed for the increased corruption cases of graft.

He accuses the private sector of abetting corruption in government as it seeks favours.

“Corruption in the public sector cannot flourish without support from the private business community,” he said. “The general feeling is that the government has lost the fight against corruption. It’s the responsibility of the entire country including the private sector to fight corruption” he added.
