Those earning more than Sh50,000 will pay Sh1,000 a month, up from Sh320.

Those in the lowest salary bracket, earning less than Sh5,999 per month will pay Sh150 while the self employed will pay Sh500.

New benefits will be on “unlimited basis”.

They include general consultation with doctors, unlimited prescribed laboratory tests and investigations, drugs and medicines, unlimited approved X-rays, ultrasound and enhanced x-ray scanning (CT scans) among other services.
