Lower call charges ease pressure on cost of living

Low inflation figures are however bound to weaken the bargaining strength of workers unions who have been pegging the annual pay negotiations.
It will also make it harder for the Central Bank to realise the low interest rates regime it has been pushing for because banks will factor in the new inflation rate in what they charge borrowers.
