Pump prices will drop by Sh2 a litre starting Wednesday due to a reduction in prices of imported petroleum products even as the regulator warned of higher prices in the coming months.

The prices of super petrol inched lower by Sh1.98 a litre while diesel prices dropped by Sh0.41 per litre. Kerosene decreased by Sh0.43 a litre, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) said Tuesday in a statement to newsrooms.

The highest prices of super petrol in Nairobi will be Sh106.48 a litre starting Wednesday down from Sh108.46 in the previous month while the highest automotive diesel prices will be 97.09 a litre from Sh97.50 in the month ended Tuesday.
