Winners of the Business Daily’s Top 40 Under 40 Women 2012 were on Wednesday night hosted to a dinner whose highlight was an inspiring talk aimed at encouraging the entrepreneurs and corporate leaders to excellence.

The diner was the culmination of this year’s women’s nomination process carried out by the Business Daily annually to encourage outstanding women who are excelling in their respective fields.

Tabitha Karanja, CEO of Keroche Industries, encouraged the winners to achieve what they have set out to do  and not shy away from taking the necessary risks.

“They should have achieved what they wanted in the next three years,” said Mrs Karanja.

She said that her experience in setting up Keroche Industries had taught her to strive to overcome the challenges that may come against what she is seeking to achieve and to learn to balance relationships with work.

This year’s event was the fifth since the newspaper which is a publication of the Nation Media Group was launched in 2007.

A special category was also created this year to honour two teenagers for excelling in fund raising activities that have helped to assist those around them.

Amy Onyonyi, 14, and her sister, Diana, 17, received a trophy each and a cake after being nominated for the Top 40 Under 40 Women by their parents.
