Mount Kenya varsity signs deal with Copenhagen business school

Mount Kenya University (MKU) has signed a deal with Copenhagen Business School that will see the regional institution use the school’s expertise in developing a graduate business programme.

The Kenyan college will get 10 per cent commission on tuition fees from the deal.

The memorandum of understanding says CBS will work with MKU to develop curriculum for its Executive Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme.

The Danish graduate school will meet the initial costs for developing the programme and allow MKU to use its brand in exchange for a royalty fee.

“MKU will compensate CBS-E with 10 per cent of all tuition income for Executive MBA programme as royalty for the initial development of the curriculum, programme design and use of the partnership in marketing the programme,” says the MoU.

“This MoU accentuates Equip Africa’s reputation as the best provider of executive training courses in East Africa,” said MKU chairman Simon Gicharu in a statement.
