I relished the chance to have eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, served with lamb sausages, bacon and toasted brown olive bread.

Like most hotels, the eggs were made behind a live kitchen with your choice of toppings and flavours.

They also have a live grill, with marinated skewers made to order.

After the “American Breakfast”, I proceeded on with lunch and went straight for the grilled skewers.

They also serve vegetarian sushi, cold cuts and cold marinated seafood. The main courses were substantial but didn’t quite match the quality of the rest of the meal.

However, they did have a few dishes like the eggplant curry that was noteworthy.

Though brunch does seem like a gluttonous affair, it’s also about whiling away your Sunday morning and afternoon in a relaxed environment.

With the forest backdrop, eclectic dining and glistening swimming pool, Tribe Hotel is one of the top brunch venues in Nairobi and quite affordable at Sh2,000 per person.
