Brussels-based Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has opened its second hotel in Nairobi dubbed Park Inn, which had suffered false starts blamed on building delays.
The mid-market hotel under the brand Park Inn is located near the Westlands bus stop. It adds 140 rooms to Nairobi’s bed space.
The hospitality group opened Radisson Blu Nairobi mid-2015.
Park Inn Nairobi had initially planned to welcome its first guests in the fourth quarter of 2013, but the date was postponed several times.
“This landmark property will certainly set the bar very high for the midscale hotel brands in Africa, with its contemporary design and architecture, and international standards,” said Marc Descrozaille, area vice president in charge of Africa and Indian Ocean at Carlson Rezidor.
Brothers Ronal and Rupen Samani through their firm AMS Properties Ltd are the owners of Park Inn Nairobi.
Carlson Rezidor will operate the facility under a contract management.
