Kenya’s television and radio signal distributor StarTimes Media has introduced digital television sets in the local market.

The 24-, 32-, and 40-inch TV sets come with an inbuilt StartTimes decoder and are being sold under a newly established business unit. They are retailing at Sh18,999, Sh26,499 and Sh38,999 respectively.

StarTimes Vice President Mark Lisboa said buyers of the TV sets will enjoy a one-month Basic bouquet for free while those who subsequently subscribe to the package will automatically get a week-long access to the Classic bouquet.

Classic subscribers will enjoy a week-long access to the premium Unique Bouquet at no cost.

Mr Lisboa said the TV sets are also able to deliver free-to-air channels.

StarTimes offers 440 news, movies, series, sports, entertainment, children’s programmes, fashion and religious channels beamed by broadcasters from across the world.
