Why you should avoid taking shortcuts in life

Such beautiful words by Robert Frost. Every time I am at a cross roads in life, and I fear making a choice or taking a decision, I remember these brilliant words by Robert Frost, “I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.” And yes, the chances exist where you may make a wrong decision or get lost, but what’s life without realising that some beautiful paths cannot be discovered without getting lost. And I have got lost many a times, but then as I said, “There is no such thing as a wrong route, it’s only a long route.”

1.Sometimes the right path is not the easiest: Life is full of choices you need to make, from what you wear to where you are headed to in life. There is never a dull or a dark moment, where you don’t have to make a choice. While there is a natural tendency to make a choice of the easiest, let us remember that the easiest path is not always the right one or does not always lead to the right destination. Be prepared to take a bold step in those moments of choice. Do not fall for making easy decisions and easy choices. Focus on the right choice.

2. When you get on to an unknown path, leave a trail: Sometimes, when you look back, you may find yourself all alone in the path, and you may wonder, why you had not walked the path taken by others and whether the choice made by you was really required. In those moments, just remember one thing, no two people’s lives are the same. Your life journey may be so different from the others, when that be the case, why do your paths have to be the same. When you are on a lonely path, make sure you leave a trail so no one ever feels lost on that path.

3.It’s a long road but it’s worth it: Sometimes life puts you on an adventurous path, whether or not you are ready for it. It may look like or be a long road, and you may wonder whether it’s worth it. But life usually has a plan for you. The longer the road, the more are the experiences that you can pick, the brighter are the chances that you hit some amazing destinations, so be open and walk the path. Never take a shortcut in life, take the long route because you pick up more experiences on the way.
