Dubai forum set to host five Africa presidents

Five African heads of state are set to attend the Global Business Forum on Africa in Dubai next month.

The two-day forum which will take place at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah will also bring together 12 ministers and more than 1,000 industry experts, top government and corporate think tanks.

The event, which kicks off on November 1, is organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI). It will focus on the continent’s economic outlook and explore investment opportunities.

“With the Global Business Forum series, Dubai has managed to offer a truly global platform, allowing top officials, decision makers and investors to explore the prospects of economic partnership and co-operation among international markets,” said Hamad Buamim, DCCI president and chief executive.

Presidents Paul Kagame (Rwanda), Danny Faure (Seychelles), Yoweri Museveni (Uganda), Ameenah Gurib-Fakim (Mauritius) and Edgar Lungu (Zambia) are expected. It kicks off with a discussion on ‘Next Generation Africa’ about young entrepreneurs’ role.
