Huawei launches Sh90,000 phone

Chinese tech firm Huawei is targeting high-end buyers with its new Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro, priced at Sh80,000 and Sh90,000 respectively.

The launch comes months after the firm unveiled Huawei P10 Lite smartphone in Kenya targeting mid-market customers with a price tag of Shh34,999.

Huawei Mate 10 with a memory capacity of 64GB and a 4GB processor will be available in Kenya from mid-November at Sh79,999.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro with 128GB and 6GB will be available end-November at Sh89,999, according to the tech firm. The phones run on Android processor, have a 5.9 inch screens with a 4000mAh battery capacity.

“The Huawei Mate 10 Series continues its legacy of superior product performance and long-lasting battery life,” said Huawei Business chief executive, Richard Yu.
