Chinese tech firm Huawei has unveiled its Mate 10 mobile devices on Jumia Kenya where it will sell exclusively for two weeks.

The Mate 10  is a high-end series featuring an artificial intelligence processor that collects a user’s habits and use it for prediction including saving on battery by turning off applications that are not in use.

The device comes powered with a 6GB of RAM and unlike other smartphones, can function as a full-fledged desktop.

Unveiling the Mate 10 series on the e-commerce platform is part of Huawei’s global launch programme aiming at growing its customer base.

“This launch coincides with our Black Friday tomorrow so we expect a lot of traffic on Jumia,” said Sanaz Abaie, Head of Category for Mobile and Tablets Jumia Kenya.

More people are turning to e-commerce platforms to make purchases due to reliable internet that makes shopping on the online platform convenient.
