A job placement start-up, Shortlist, has acquired the entire shareholding of Nairobi-based talent development firm, Spire Education, on undisclosed terms.
Shortlist screens candidates using predictive chat-based interviews and online competency-based assessments, letting employers skip the most time-consuming and bias-prone phases of hiring.
Spire Education builds learning programmes that enable employees to cultivate the skills and attitudes they need to be successful on the job.
Shortlist started operations in 2016 and has offices in Nairobi, Mumbai and Hyderabad in India and so far has worked with over 30 SMEs including M-KOPA, Twiga Foods, Lendable, Angaza, SunCulture and GreenLight Planet.
Spire Education was founded in 2013 and has partnered with firms including Java House and M-KOPA to build internal learning and development programmes for junior, middle and senior level staff.
