Lotto Foundation hands five cars to prize winner

Lotto Foundation has handed over five VW Polo Vivo cars to Josephine Sagwa who won Lotto Give Me Five Power Draw.

The lottery firm and DT Dobie handed over the car keys to Ms Sagwa at the DT Dobie showroom in Nairobi on Friday.

Each car costs Sh1.6 million and comes with a Sh50,000 fuel voucher, one-year insurance cover and a three-year warranty. Ms Sagwa also walked away with Sh1 million cash prize.

DT Dobie general sales manager Usha Nagpal said they were happy to be part of the venture to make Kenyans happy with a locally made car.

She said Kenyans should expect more from the partnership between Lotto and DT Dobie.

Lotto communications manager Dennis Muigai said encouraged more Kenyans to participate.

“We have through Lotto Foundation, spent up to Sh400 million on charity, courtesy of you Kenyans,” he said.

Mr Muigai said the partnership would continue.

Ms Sagwa now joins other winners that include 235 millionaires and 22 multimillionaires, since Lotto’s inception in November 2015. So far 5,443,663 Kenyans have won prizes overall and 17,666 winners coming from Lotto’s 220th draw alone.
