Increase in electricity connectivity has been driven by the last mile project .

Data from the World Bank and Kenya Power indicates that more than 60 per cent of Kenyan households were connected to the grid by the end of 2016.
Across the continent, World Bank estimates 600 million people have no access to electricity. This represents 70 per cent of the continent’s population.
