Inside the Norwegian Epic ship

The Norwegian Epic ship is a sure dazzle. The luxurious hotel on the move holds about 4,100 passengers yet it is not crowded.

The inside stateroom measures 128 square feet with a maximum capacity of four guests. The cabin has two lower beds that convert to a queen bed. It has a back-lit domed ceiling, flat screen TV and a mini-bar.

The staterooms are divided into six categories, the haven, mini-suites, spa suites, balcony, studio and inside.

The Norwegian Epic ship has a private pool, two whirlpools, a gym, sun deck and a private restaurant.

“It was astonishing to see 21 restaurants and lounges, hospital, jogging track, world-class gym, spa, saunas, jacuzzis at the deck. There was a large theatre, 4D cinema, virtual world, video arcade, children play area, basketball and tennis facilities...I have never seen anything like that, ” says Christine adding that the spa pass was a wonderful way to spend in the sea days.

As much as it sounds as a holiday plan for solo travellers not afraid to spend, it also has a balcony cabin, family inside cabin and public areas.

To complete the epic scenario, there is a splash down in the multi-slide aqua park featuring a large bowl water slide at sea, three-lane bowling alley and an ice bra where rinks are served in ice glasses.

This mega-class ship has 1,700 cabin crew members, including a resident dee-jay.

‘‘When it comes to the entertainment aboard a moving ship, you won’t believe your eyes or even your ears. This was absolutely worth my money,” says Maryam.

While aboard, there are some extra charges for drinks, Internet and also for city excursions around the port.

While everything was bliss, there was one hitch that made Maryam miss home. The internet.
“I missed our local subscribers, Internet was expensive,” she says.

On the cruise safari, Christine says, there is no fixed dining times or pre-assigned seating.

The Norwegian Cruise Line has different ships offering different packages. They include Norwegian Bliss, the most recent to be launched in early 2018, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Dawn, and the Norwegian Epic.
