New York-based Global Finance has named Stanbic Bank the best forex provider and top bank in treasury and cash management in Kenya.

The financial magazine is one of the largest specialised global media institutions that helps to place corporate leaders and investors on the world’s trade and finance map.

It does this through providing transparent, objective institutional assessments and granting awards in recognition of outstanding performance.

Stanbic Bank head of corporate and investment banking Anton Marais said the accolades affirmed the lender’s solvency and robust position.

“The awards confirm Stanbic Bank’s outstanding performance, its developments and innovations in the fields related to liquidity management and treasury in an optimal way that is in line with the highest international standards,” he said.

Mr Marais said the Global Finance award is an evidence of international acknowledgment of Stanbic’s excellence and leadership of the market.

He said it was a recognition of the bank’s success in providing diversified solutions and innovative digital banking services for the efficient treasury, cash and forex management.

Global Finance honours banks that provide distinctive, diverse electronic banking channels, keeping pace with the continuous technological development globally, thus ensuring the provision of innovative services to meet customer needs, whether individuals or corporates.

“Additionally, it selects banks that contribute to the modern, different concept of banking experience in the market, and this is what Stanbic Bank Kenya is offering and committed to,” said Mr Marais.

Last month, Stanbic introduced a new cash payment and collection platform for institutional clients to make them cash flow efficient.

The Lipa360 offers clients a real-time platform to reconcile and manage funds and has been successfully deployed at Strathmore University, KenolKobil, Meru Dairy Farmers and several flower farms in Naivasha.
