Gulf African Bank (GAB) has entered into a partnership with the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) to give women business and legal services.

Iman Hussein, GAB general manager for business, said the partnership will strengthen its programmes aimed at supporting women to grow enterprises.

“We look forward to further deepening this engagement by collaboratively sharing LSK knowledge, skills and best practices in business to economically empower women,” said Ms Hussein.

The Shariah-compliant SME bank has a programme called ‘‘Annissa’’ which offers financial products designed specifically for women.

The programme offers unsecured LPO financing of up to Sh20 million and up to Sh3 million unsecured LPO business for starters.

LSK president Isaac Okero said the lobby seeks to empower women through training and mentoring to lead to greater societal transformation through strategic partners.

GAB recently became the first bank in Kenya to sign up for the United Women’s HeForShe campaign.
