Private Equity (PE) firm Fusion Capital has appointed Daniel Kamau as its chief executive.

Mr Kamau was the firm’s executive director and will replace Luke Kinoti who is retiring on March 31.

Mr Kinoti has been at the helm of the PE firm since 2006 when it was founded, and will be pursuing other business interests, according to a statement issued by the group’s chairman Phil Goodwin yesterday.

“Mr Kamau has proved himself over more than 10 years with Fusion and will continue to drive the company forward,” said Mr Goodwin.

Fusion Capital has undertaken significant projects like Kigali Heights in Rwanda, Flamingo Towers in Upper Hill, 4th Ngong Towers at Community, Nairobi, Grande Park Estate in Nakuru and Gold mark properties in Uganda.

Last month, the PE firm acquired 75 per cent stake in Thika Royal Palms, a subsidiary of Hand in Hand Development Group that specialises in construction and farming.
