Failed take-off

The situation was caused by a stalled ferry, MV Likoni, which had failed to take off from the ramp.

The ferry could not move as commuters had filled it to capacity.

This forced the commuters who were in the delayed ferry to move to another one, MV Nyayo, which had just docked at the mainland side.
