Kimaiyo's appointment to KAA revoked, Karangi named new chair

President Uhuru Kenyatta has revoked the appointment of Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Chairman David Kimaiyo.

In a gazette notice dated June 24, the President appointed retired chief of Defence Forces Julius Karangi to replace the former police boss.

Mr Kimaiyo was appointed KAA chairman on December 31, 2014.

President Kenyatta also made other appointments, with former MPs being rewarded with jobs as chairmen of State corporations.

Ronald Osumba, who contested the 2013 elections as the running mate of Kenya National Congress's Peter Kenneth, has been appointed Youth Fund board chairman.

Former Changamwe MP Ramadhan Kajembe is the new Kenya Ferry Services chairman while politician Raphael Tuju will chair the Lake Basin Development Authority.

President Kenyatta appointed former Bumula MP Bifwoli Wakoli to chair the Agricultural Development Cooperation while Patrick Osero is the new Tourism Finance Corporation Board chairman.
