Nairobi Garage, an office space supplier for startups, is opening a second branch in the Westlands hub of Nairobi County.
The firm that offers co-working space, where businesses rent space and use facilities such as meeting rooms for as short as one month or a day, says its Westlands-based office will open on December 1.
The firm’s management said its expansion is due to increased demand for high quality offices for tenants that are on tight budgets.
“With the price of office as well as the cost of utilities rising, particularly in Nairobi’s high-end locations, setting up and running an office for a new or expanding company can be a huge headache. Our aim is to take all of that away and build spaces that are as beautiful as they are practical,” said Nairobi Garage general manager Hannah Clifford.
Ms Clifford said the new office is expected to house around 70 companies including Uber and digital firm Terragon Group. Its first office is located on Ngong Road.
