Poa! Internet Kenya Ltd is seeking to grow its Nairobi subscribers amid a plan to take its services to Kinoo, Kikuyu, Waithaka and parts of Ngong Road.

Poa! Internet, formerly Argon Telecom Services Ltd — which targets homes and businesses in low-income areas such as slums and rural areas — currently operates in Kibera, Kawangware, Jamhuri, Kabiria, Ting’ang’a, Kirigiti and Kangemi.

“Our expansion plans have accelerated with the recent launch in Kangemi, opening up the potential to connect thousands of homes with low-cost unlimited broadband. We further plan to double our coverage areas by mid-July 2019 to reach more people, and project to be five times our current size by the end of 2019,” said Poa! Internet chief executive Andy Halsall in an interview.

The firm prices its services below that of many fixed Internet providers.
