Make-up firm Suzie Beauty has introduced nine new products in the market, marking the first leap after acquisition three years ago.

Suzie Beauty, a subsidiary of Nairobi Securities Exchange-listed Flame Tree Group #ticker:FTGH , has introduced a make-up remover, cleanser moisturiser and other facial products.

“We are excited to announce that we have officially launched nine new products to the market…All products were made with the African woman in mind,” said the firm in a statement. Before the buyout of Suzie Beauty in early 2016 by Flame Tree, founder Suzie Wokabi had managed to roll out only 11 of the original 32 products she had conceptualised.

Ms Wokabi, who launched the cosmetics start up in 2009 positioning Suzie Beauty to produce a range of products targeting African women, then said the acquisition meant that there was room for expansion of the firm’s product portofolio.

Her product line then included facial cosmetics, including foundation, concealer, eye-shadow and liner, mascara, lip-gloss, blush, lipstick, powder and a full line of applicator brushes.

Ms Wokabi started her cosmetics journey in New York where she trained at MAC Cosmetics.

She also holds a certificate in media make-up from Los Angeles-based Award Studio.
