Insurance agent detained over Dusit terror attack

An insurance agent appeared in a Nairobi court Thursday in connection with the terror attack at the DusitD2 hotel complex last week.

Zipporah Wambui Karanja, who works for Directline company, is accused of procuring insurance for two vehicles used by the Dusit attackers.

The court allowed police to hold her for 15 days to allow investigators complete probe.

Eight suspects have already appeared before court over the attack and are being detained for 30 days.

The assault that took place on January 15 left 21 people dead and more than 700 rescued.
