Family Bank branch extends business hours

Family Bank has taken the scramble for customers in Nakuru town a notch higher by extending its official closing hours from 4.30pm to 8pm. The bank which has two branches in the town becomes the first lending institution in Nakuru County to close at 8pm.

Nakuru Town is home to more than 30 banks and microfinance institutions which close their doors between 4.30pm and 6pm. Speaking to Business Daily, Family Bank Chief Executive Officer Peter Munyiri said the institution was responding to changing clientele needs.

“Nakuru Town is one of the fastest growing town in the country and Family Bank wants to be part of its agenda to turn its economy to a 24-hour one,” said Mr Munyiri.

The CEO said the bank customers would now be able to plan their busy business schedule without worrying about being locked out of the banking hall.

“We want to facilitate our clients to access financial solutions beyond normal working hours so that they can play their critical role in turning Nakuru Town into a 24 hours’ economy,” said Mr Munyiri.

The Nakuru Town branch joins other 10 outlets in Nairobi, Nyeri and Mombasa which have extended their banking hours by three-and- a-half hours.
