Yield on 182-day Treasury bill edges up at auction

The weighted average yield on Kenya's 182-day Treasury bills edged up to 10.347 per cent at auction on Wednesday from 10.326 per cent last week, the central bank said.

The yield on 364-day Treasury bills slipped to 10.610 per cent from 10.654 per cent last week.

The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) received bids worth Sh5.5 billion ($63.6 million) for the two papers. It accepted Sh4.8 billion. It had offered a total Sh6 billion worth of bills.

Next week, CBK will offer Sh9 billion worth of 91-day, 182-day and 364-day bills, it said.
