Police have summoned Kenya National Union of Teachers secretary general Wilson Sossion for allegedly inciting teachers working in North Eastern not to return to work over insecurity.

In a post on Twitter on Wednesday, Mr Sossion said he had been summoned to the CID headquarters.

“I am summoned to the CID over the NEP teachers. My statement is simple. Children of NEP deserve quality education from secure teachers,” he posted.

He claimed that some teachers from North Eastern have been spending the night at the boardroom in his office.

He admitted that he dared the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to sack the teachers who have refused to return to work.

“Addressing NEP teachers yesterday I dared TSC to sack any of them and face the wrath of entire teaching force in KE,” he said.
