Treasury secretary Henry Rotich read Thursday the Sh1.8 trillion Budget expected to balance competing needs without upsetting the country’s macroeconomic environment and risking economic growth.

• National Treasury has allocated Sh15.8 billion in the 2014-15 Budget for cash transfers to the poor households holding orphaned children, the elderly and those with extreme disabilities. (READ: Poor, elderly get Sh15.8 billion in budget allocation)
