Kenya’s economy expanded at a faster rate of 4.9 percent in the third quarter of 2025 on rebound in construction and mining activities as well as continued growth in services, which offset weaker agricultural output.
Data from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) released on Tuesday show that the gross domestic product—a measure of all economic activities by the government, companies and individuals— grew faster than 4.2 percent in a similar quarter in 2024.
