Safaricom slaps joyriders with Sh0.50 charge for reverse calls
This Sh0.50 charge will see Safaricom take at least Sh1 million a day from reverse calls going by the two million subscribers whom it says have been joyriding.
Safaricom has slapped joyriders of free calls with a Sh0.50 daily charge as the telco moves in to cut freebies and drive revenues.
The telco limited reverse calls to two in a day, with the third one attracting a flat charge of Sh0.50, enabling it to earn revenue from those who have been calling at the expense of those receiving their calls.
