More than 2,200 bars and alcohol shops are marked for closure in a countrywide government crackdown on liquor joints that operate within 300 meters of schools.
Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has ordered the National Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (Nacada) and security teams to close the bars with immediate effect.
