Kigio Conservancy: Eco-lodge that’s teeming with wildlife

The Thompson’s gazelle raises its head as it listens to the engine of the approaching vehicle. As we come close, it scampers across the road to join the herd grazing on the left.

The gazelle is one of the over 3500 heads of wildlife that roam across the Kigio Conservancy on the banks of River Malewa. The Thompson gazelle joins the likes of the Rothschild giraffe, eland, hyena, hippos, leopard, and buffalo and over 250 bird species that call the conservancy home.
