Clarification/Apology: Taifa Gas and Rostam Aziz

An article on July 26 stated that the cooking gas imported to Kenya from Tanzania had been suspected to come from Iran.

We wish to correct the claim to the extent that it implied that Rostam Aziz through his company Taifa Gas was involved in dealings with Iran contrary to the international sanctions.

We regret the impression created by the articles and apologise to Taifa Gas Limited, its director Mr Aziz and their associates as well as our readers for any embarrassment occasioned.
