KFS dealt blow in Karura forest boundary clash with coffee trader

The Environment and Lands Court has barred the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) from taking control of a parcel of land adjacent to Karura forest, which is owned by a coffee businessman, Jeremy Mark Block pending the determination of an appeal involving a longstanding boundary dispute.

The contested portion of the land measures 1.078 acres and the gist of the case is whether the boundary between the property and the forest should be a river stream, which passes through the suit property.
