Tom Mshindi appointed Nation Media Group Chief Operating Officer

The Nation Media Group has named Tom Mshindi as its Chief Operating Officer as it announced senior managerial appointments to drive expansion plans and meet growing business demands.

The Group Finance Director, Mr Stephen Gitagama, was assigned additional roles in the changes.

Mr Mshindi has been the Managing Director, Nation Newspapers Division.

Mr Gitagama will now have added responsibilities “over and above Finance”.

"I am very happy to announce these well-earned promotions that keep faith with our traditions of rewarding strong and strategic leadership,” said Chief Executive Officer Linus Gitahi Friday.

Mr Gitahi said NMG business had grown significantly over the years and the changes will hold the company in good stead as it embarks on ambitious expansion plans.

“I have no doubt that the two will continue to serve the company as they always have and are well equal to the challenging tasks that the business presents to them,” he said.
