That battle must start where the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) anchored it early this month -- do away with some of these allowances or reduce them to the minimum in order to significantly reduce the burden on taxpayers.
But it will also take the relevant State agencies to arrest and prosecute some of the criminal acts of pilferage and wastage to bring these crimes that are hurting millions to an end.
