Electronics firm LG has set its focus on Kenya’s online buyers with an independent e-commerce channel that targets tech savvy shoppers.

The move comes shortly after the firm’s recent Sh100 million investment in retail outlets expansion in Eastern Africa.

Customers who shop on the online store dubbed LG Brand Shop will get free delivery on their purchases.

“By opening the online store we are increasing our products’ availability beyond the physical stores,” said LG managing director, East and Central Africa, Janghoon Chung.

“Our customers in Kenya will now have 24-hour access to the best of our innovative, genuine and quality products via their computers, smartphones, and tablets from anywhere in the country together with a one-year free insurance for products valued from Sh60,000.”

Online shoppers will get the same range of LG products as in physical stores while enjoying pay-on-delivery with a two-year warranty on all products.
