President Kenyatta says he disagrees with the Supreme Court ruling that nullified his re-election but will respect it.

Addressing the nation on Friday, President Kenyatta said that the decision of 45 million Kenyans cannot be annulled by six people (Supreme Court judges).

At the same time, he called on Kenyans to maintain peace and live as neighbours.

He said that they are ready to face their competitors in a repeat vote in 60 days.

"We are ready to go back to the people with the same agenda that we delivered to the people," he said.

He appealed to their opponents to shun divisive politics and instead sell their agenda to Kenyans.
