Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore and his predecessor Michael Joseph have obtained a court order barring controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi from publishing statements deemed to be defamatory of them until a suit they have filed against him is determined.

The two sued Mr Nyakundi for linking them to tender-related corruption at Safaricom through a series of articles posted between May and June.

They want him compelled to pay them damages for what they term as offensive blog posts and to pull down the disputed articles.

Mr Nyakundi admitted posting the stories and insists that there is evidence to back up his blog posts.

Justice Lucy Njuguna Monday issued the orders after Mr Collymore and Mr Joseph claimed there was a risk Mr Nyakundi would publish more posts that could damage their reputation.
