Sameer partners with VLCC in beauty, fitness venture

Wellness multinational VLCC has opened its first slimming, beauty and fitness centre in Kenya in collaboration with the Kenya-based Sameer Group. The India-headquartered group also plans to introduce some of its skin, hair and body care products into the market.

The centre in Nairobi, “a first of its kind in Kenya”, will offer a bouquet of wellness services under one roof. It will be followed by similar centres in several other locations in due course, the company said in a statement.

VLCC founder and Vice-Chairperson Vandana Luthra said: “The VLCC slimming, beauty & fitness services centre in Nairobi… is a manifestation of our confidence in the Kenyan market and our keenness to have a significant presence across all categories of the wellness sector here.”
Luthra further added that the company “also plans to soon launch the VLCC Natural Sciences range of skin, hair and body-care products in Kenya”.

VLCC has direct company managed operations in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The company manages Asia’s largest chain of slimming, beauty and fitness centres.

It also manufactures India’s most comprehensive range of skin, hair and body care products and operates beauty and slimming centres, nutrition institutes and exclusive beauty zones in 16 countries.
