Kenyan-born cooking appliances maker Burn Manufacturing has secured funds from a Sh10.3 billion ($80 million) kitty from the Trade and Development Bank (TDB) Group, to expand into Zambia and boost supply in two of its markets, supporting its regional growth drive.

The funding package, which will be shared with Dubai-based solar systems firm Ignite Power, was announced last Wednesday on the sidelines of the Africa Energy Forum (AEF) in Cape Town, South Africa.
