Mr Joseph Otieno Oyuga and 114 others moved to court last December after the national carrier fired them over what it called an “illegal strike.”
The workers in their case claimed they were not accorded an opportunity to be heard prior to the dismissal.
The justice Wasilwa directive for them to present their current actual number comes after the Appellate Court set aside a Labour Court order directing that they be reinstated pending determination of their case.
Justice Wasilwa had in December last year reinstated them to their positions pending conclusion of their case citing safety reasons.
The judge had said effective servicing of the aircrafts would have been compromised after more than 100 engineers and technicians were sent home.
KQ, as the airline is known by its international code, however, rejected the directive saying it does not require their services.
Kenya Airways then managed to have the order set aside by the Appellate Court with judges saying the Labour Court order was without merit.
Parties are now set to resume hearing of the main case where the employees have alleged unfair dismissal. The case will be mentioned on Monday.
