PrideInn Group bets on business tourism with Sh3b hotel

PrideInn Group has officially opened a Sh3.1 billion Hotel and Convention Centre at Shanzu, boosting conference tourism in the coastal city of Mombasa.

The unveiling of the new facility last Friday brought the number of hotels operated by the group in Mombasa and Nairobi to seven.

Other hotels include Pride Express Nyali, PrideInn Hotel Mombasa, Pride Express Diani, PrideInn Hotel Raphta, PrideInn Hotel Westlands and PrideInn Suites Lantana.

Group MD Hasnain Noorani said the new hotel and convention Centre has 300 rooms and a 600 bed capacity.

The move comes despite the lull in the industry prompted by past insecurity fears and international travel advisories.
