Why World Bank, AfDB have banned PwC Kenya, Rwanda

The World Bank and its partners have banned PwC Kenya from their projects for 21 months after the Big Four accountancy firm fraudulently received confidential information from a Sh149.8 billion electricity project, gaining an undue advantage during bidding.

The multilateral lender said PwC Africa Associates Ltd (based out of Mauritius), PwC Kenya and PwC Rwanda will be blocked from participating in projects funded by the bank.
