Principals of secondary schools have written to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to protest a criteria for the promotion of teachers, terming it unfair to some teachers.

Through the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (Kessha), the principals have petitioned TSC as well as the National Assembly, arguing that a quota system the employer is using to promote teachers disadvantages regions that have a higher number of qualified teachers.
